First Nations
First Nations tells the greatest stories you’ve never heard. Based upon Native American oral traditions, with breathtaking images and re-enanactments, the stories of First Nations are the history of the first Americans, before Europeans arrived on the North American continent. Each episode focuses on a different Nation and recreates the day to day life, the battles and the peace, the legends and the traditions, and the constant struggle to survive.
Modern archaeology, anthropology, and astronomy provide the scientific “story behind the story” and the evidence that brings these ancient peoples to life. The first episode centers on the epic Iroquois story of the making of the Great Peace and the creating of the Iroquois Confederacy. First Nations is shot in unprecedented 1080P High Definition, with an all Native cast, on location in the traditional Iroquois lands in the Catskills, Adirondacks, and Quebec.
