Sean Gallagher
Co-owner and Executive Producer
Sean Gallagher was the senior vice president of production and development for TLC, overseeing all internal and external program development efforts for TLC, launching prime series such as Miami Ink and Little People Big World.
Prior to working at TLC, Sean served as vice president, program development for Discovery Channel. In this capacity, he led the network’s development efforts, with specific responsibility for the development and management of the popular and successful Monster franchise, including Monster Garage and Monster House. Also at Discovery, Gallagher served as executive producer of the network’s primetime unit, where he oversaw such hit series as American Chopper and MythBusters.
Prior to joining Discovery, Gallagher served as a freelance producer in the Washington, D.C., area, working for clients such as the Federal Emergency Management Agency and PBS. Gallagher began his career at the Monitor Channel in Boston, where he worked on magazine shows, local affiliate news and children’s programming.
Although having since followed his wife to reside in Washington DC, Gallagher was born & raised in Bangor Maine and received his bachelor's degree in corporate video communication from Southern Connecticut State University. From his days as an accomplished swimmer at Bangor High, he remains an avid Triathelete and Ironman.
